Open Creativity Scoring

Free, research-backed tools for scoring originality in divergent thinking tasks. Learn about the research behind these tools.

Ocsai AI-Powered Scoring

Ocsai (Open Creativity Scoring with Artificial Intelligence) uses fine-tuned large language models trained on human-judged responses. Evaluated against 27,000+ responses from nine studies, Ocsai achieves up to r = .81 correlation with human raters — approaching the ceiling of human inter-rater agreement itself (Organisciak et al., 2023).

Semantic Distance Scoring Legacy

Our original scoring method measures how far a response falls from the prompt in a semantic space. Semantic models remain available and are useful for comparison with earlier research, but Ocsai is recommended for new work.
